Each players learns how to be a responsible individual as they learn through basketball about respect, responsibility, encouragement, courage, kindness, self-discipline and perseverance. All of these skill are important traits we try to develop in our children.

Ages: Senior Infants – 4th Class

What do we do?

We will take your students through a 10 week programme with focus on these character traits while learning ball handling skills. It is a hugely successful programme and brings out the best in students.

The aim is that they will have fun, learn to be better basketball players and be able to contribute to society in a more productive way. The 10 week programme has been carefully designed to carry out specific character traits amongst your students while being able to perform a 1 minute routine with each other. It is an awesome programme which challenges the students in every sense. It has been ran very successfully in schools in the US and in Ireland.

At the end of the 10 week the Coach will award 7 of the students with a t shirt which they feel the student has earned throughout the programme. Most Respectful, Most Responsible, Most Courageous etc. The will work with the staff team to see if the students have transferred this into the classroom. It is a great way to ensure we get the most out of the programme.
